𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐥, 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝟏𝟕 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝗮𝘁 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐙𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡. 𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲:

“Dear friends, long ago I once spoke that my daughter had won the Queen’s golden disc, it was a simple contest that my fanatic daughter had participated here in Zürich. I thought of doing this post because today is the 20 year anniversary of the death of the greatest singer Freddie Mercury (from 24 Nov 2011).

My daughter was 17 at the time and a student at the University of Zürich. My whole family was invited to the concert at the large covered stadium of Zürich and also to a great party afterwards. I remember the excitement and the real great emotion to shake the hand of each of these great musicians, true famous artists of those years.

My 50-year old daughter still keeps that beautiful gold record, carefully, as a relic. I hope I haven’t bored you by telling you all this story of my daughter. A hug to everyone.
